Last Updated: August 7, 2009

Garmin International, Inc. ("Garmin") and ASUSTeK Computer Incorporated ("ASUS"), respect your right to privacy. This Garmin-ASUS Online Privacy Statement (the "Policy") covers the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information that may be collected when you visit this website (www.garminasus.com) (the "Site"). The Site is operated by Garmin. This Policy does not address our practices regarding information that we collect through our products or applications, when you register a product on my.Garmin.com, when you interact with our support personnel, or when you visit other Garmin or ASUS websites. Please take a moment to read the following to learn more about our information practices, including what type of information is gathered on our Site, how the information is used and for what purposes, to whom we disclose the information, and how we safeguard your personal information.

What information about you do we collect on the Site?

Personal Information. We collect personal information only if you voluntarily choose to share such information with us. You may browse the Site without disclosing any personal information. However, in order for you to take advantage of particular opportunities provided through the Site (for example, to sign up for a newsletter or to view certain areas of the Site), we may require that you furnish personal information.

When you set up an account, sign up for newsletters or participate in surveys, we collect personal information such as your name, address, and products that you own.

If you place an order at shop.garminasus.com we will request and collect personal information such as your name, e-mail address, mailing address, telephone number, and credit card information.

You also may decide to send us personally identifying information in an e-mail message which might contain information or inquiries about our products or services.

There are several other opportunities for you to share personal information about yourself with us on the Site. This may include information about you such as your interests, your name, and your mailing address and e-mail address. Submission of this information is strictly voluntary.

Anonymous or Aggregated Data. We collect and store certain data about the use of the Site. This is done on an anonymous basis, and the same information is collected for all hits on Garmin's servers. The information collected may include the time and date you visited the site, the pages at which you looked and domain name. We do not link this information to anything personally identifiable to you. We only use this information for system administration and to help us develop ideas about how we might tailor the Site to improve your visit.

Cookies and Other Technologies. We use cookies while you are on our Site. Cookies are small text files that help us keep track of your shopping cart and other movements within our Site, and they only contain the necessary information to associate a shipping ID on your computer with the orders in the "shopping cart" table on Garmin's server and other navigational information to help you move through our Site. If you do not want information collected through the use of cookies, there is a simple procedure in most browsers that allows you to automatically decline cookies, or to be given the choice of declining or accepting the transfer of a particular cookie, or cookies from a particular web site, to your computer.

Please note: At the present time, you cannot purchase from shop.garminasus.com with the "cookies" feature shut off on your browser. We do not tie personally identifiable information to our cookies.

We and our service providers may also use "pixel tags," "web beacons," "clear GIFs," or similar means in connection with Site pages and HTML-formatted e-mail messages to, among other things, track the actions of Site users and e-mail recipients, to determine the success of marketing campaigns and to compile aggregate statistics about Site usage and response rates. For these purposes these technologies are tied to personally identifiable information. In addition, we have no access or control of tracking technologies used by third parties on our Site.

IP Address. When you visit and interact with the Site, we and third parties with whom we have contracted to provide services may collect IP Addresses. Your Internet Protocol (IP) address is a number that is automatically assigned to the computer that you are using by your Internet Service Provider (ISP). This number is identified and logged automatically in our server log files whenever you visit the Site, along with the time(s) of your visit(s) and the page(s) that you visited.

How do we use information about you collected on the Site?

Other Communications; If you choose to share any personal information with us, we may store it and use it for marketing purposes, including e-mailing you with special promotions and other programs of interest. We may also, in the event that this information is collected as part of a warranty registration process, use this information to contact you later for matters relating to your product or service. If the information is sent as part of a Site evaluation, we may also use the information to contact you about your comments.
